The DHI hair transplantation operation involves several carefully planned stages to guarantee optimal results:
Before the procedure, a detailed consultation is conducted with our contracted surgeon, the patient's goals are understood, the donor area is evaluated, and the distribution of hair follicles in the recipient area is planned.
Using a micromotor or manual punch, each hair follicle is carefully extracted, typically from the back and sides of the scalp. This extraction process is minimally invasive and designed to preserve the integrity of the hair follicles.
Unlike traditional methods, the DHI technique allows for simultaneous preparation of the recipient area and implantation of hair follicles without requiring pre-made incisions. The surgeon uses the Choi Implanter Pen to create small incisions in the recipient area, ensuring precise and natural placement of the grafts.
Each hair follicle is gently placed into the recipient area using the Choi Implanter Pen. This stage requires skill and precision to achieve the desired density and natural hair distribution.
After DHI hair transplantation, patients are given detailed instructions for post-operative care. This typically includes guidelines for washing hair, avoiding certain activities, and using prescribed medications to support the healing process.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so most patients feel minimal discomfort.
A DHI session typically takes 6-8 hours, depending on the number of grafts.
