What is the recovery process like after a hair transplant?

The recovery process varies from patient to patient, but most individuals can resume their normal activities within a few days to a week after the surgery. You may experience some swelling, redness, and scabbing in the donor and recipient areas, which typically subside within 1 to 2 weeks. Our team will provide you with detailed post-operative instructions to facilitate a smooth recovery.

When will I see the results of my hair transplant?

It's important to have realistic expectations regarding the timeline for hair growth after a transplant. Initially, the transplanted hair may shed within the first few weeks, which is a normal part of the process. New hair growth typically begins within 3 to 4 months, with noticeable improvements becoming evident within 6 to 12 months post-procedure. Full results can take up to 18 months to achieve.

Are the results of a hair transplant permanent?

Yes, the results of a hair transplant are considered permanent. The transplanted hair follicles are genetically resistant to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for hair loss in conditions such as male pattern baldness. However, it's important to note that while the transplanted hair is permanent, natural hair loss progression may continue in other areas of the scalp over time.

Are there any risks or complications associated with hair transplant surgery?

Like any surgical procedure, hair transplant surgery carries a minimal risk of complications, such as infection, bleeding, scarring, or uneven hair growth. However, these risks are rare, especially when the procedure is performed by experienced professionals in a sterile environment. Our team takes every precaution to minimize risks and ensure your safety throughout the process.
