Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a state-of-the-art hair transplant technique designed to provide natural and lasting results for individuals experiencing hair loss. Unlike traditional methods, FUE does not involve a linear incision or the removal of a strip of scalp tissue. Instead, individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the donor area, typically the back or sides of the scalp, using a precision tool.

The FUE technique is known for its minimally invasive approach, preserving the natural appearance of the donor area and allowing for quicker recovery times. This method is suitable for those seeking a discreet and effective solution to restore their hairline and achieve increased hair density.

Stages of FUE Technique

Consultation and Planning: The FUE process begins with a thorough consultation between the patient and the surgeon. During this stage, the surgeon assesses the patient's suitability for the procedure, discusses expectations, and plans the distribution of hair follicles.

Hair Follicle Extraction: Using a specialized micro-punch or automated device, individual follicular units containing one to four hairs are meticulously extracted from the donor area. The precision of the extraction process ensures minimal damage to surrounding tissues and allows for a seamless, natural-looking result.

Recipient Site Preparation: After the extraction, the surgeon prepares the recipient site by making tiny incisions in the target area where the hair will be transplanted. These incisions are strategically placed to mimic the natural growth pattern, ensuring a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing result.

Graft Implantation: The extracted hair follicles are then carefully implanted into the recipient sites. The surgeon pays close attention to the angle, depth, and direction of placement to achieve a realistic and natural hairline.

Post-Operative Care: Patients are provided with detailed post-operative care instructions, including guidelines for washing the hair, avoiding certain activities, and using prescribed medications. This aids in the healing process and promotes optimal graft survival.
